About Malia

Malia is the founder and driving force behind the Fayetteville NC Taco & Beer Festival — a day built around community, great food, cold drinks, and the kind of energy you can't fake.

She first threw the festival in 2021, and it was an instant hit: well attended, buzzing, and loved by everyone who came. After that success, finding the right home for the event took time — but the festival is back in 2027 at JP Riddle Stadium, bigger and better than before.

A seasoned event planner

Malia's background in events runs deep. Before the Taco & Beer Festival, she:

  • Ran the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival
  • Produced all events for the Fayetteville Observer
  • Owned and operated bumbledoo, a natural parenting store, and ran the Babypalooza event alongside it

From city-wide festivals to intimate community events, Malia has spent years learning what makes a gathering memorable — and she's bringing every bit of that experience to the Taco & Beer Festival.

Fayetteville's favorite plug

Beyond events, Malia runs a wildly popular TikTok channel where she's known as Malia in the Ville — your favorite Fayetteville plug, sharing the best of what's happening around town.

She also owns Fayetteville Support Services, a local cleaning business you may know from TikTok as Malia Cleans 26.
